Riverside location, captivating Melbourne city views and authentic Italian dishes served with good old fashioned friendly service… the way service used to be. Set in a 100 year old boat shed and located in Melbourne’s oldest waterfront Central Pier, Va Bene showcases a very chic European aesthetic. The bustling open kitchen is the centre of attention at all times and the communal style seating makes the atmosphere warm and ever so inviting. On the waterfront pathway is our herb garden showcasing the fresh aromas of basil, oregano and rosemary often used in our dishes. The outside bench tables cater to a more casual alfresco diner who can enjoy one of our delicious grazing platters whilst sipping on a glass of local or imported wine. Opened in December 2008, Va Bene may still be viewed as the new kid on the block, but there’s an assured feeling about this restaurant.
