Since opening in 1991, Mehrey da Dhaba has been hosting people across Sydney drawn by it's outstanding reputation of wholesome, authentic Indian food, great prices and quick, friendly service. From humble beginnings as a traditional street food outlet, Mehrey da Dhaba soon added to their range of foods to became a full Indian restaurant.
There's a larger selection of dishes here than you'd generally see in a restaurant that caters so heavily for takeaway customers. While serving all the well-known curries and tandoori favourites, there are more than a few unknowns on the menu. Try the king prawn passanda: a mild seafood dish with fresh prawns cooked slowly with coconut and almonds; or chicken dansak, which is a slightly spicier sweet/sour dish served with lentils. If you choose to eat in rather than take it away, take pleasure in the comfortably stylish silver chairs, and the kind, knowledgeable staff.
Our dynamic & ever changing menus are based on fresh, seasonal, local produce & house ground spice blends inspired by the Chef's Subcontinental roots. Our food encompasses traditional homestyle curries, breads & marinated fish, meat & poultry cooked over charcoal, through to a fresh, light & modern twist on traditional Subcontinental flavours. We also love vegetarians and offer a wide range of unique & delicious vegetarian dishes.
