Turner Cottage Restaurant is set on the banks of the Serpentine River. The complex is built around the Turner family cottage oringinally built in 1856 and restored in 1979 by Frank McKay (Turner descendant) and his son-in-law Alan Sunderland. The complex, once a tourist park featuring minature railway and tractor rides, old fashioned games and playing fields- is currently establishing itself as a restaurant and functions facility. Recently the 'Craft Shop' built in 1981 to compliment the tourist park, has been re-opened and operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am 'til 2pm. The growing 'Serpentine Country Markets' is held at the property on the first Sunday of every month, and Turner Cottage proves a perfect venue for such an event with many visitors and stallholders delighting in its surrounds each month.
